Mandy shares her story of her Boudoir Photo Shoot

When I asked Mandy to write about her Boudoir shoot experience with me, she quickly responded, “YES!”. When I first read this, it brought me to tears. Mandy’s transformation has been one of the most memorable ones. Here is her story, written by Mandy herself. 

40 and Fabulous! Embracing my inner Goddess!

I am full of love!

I am beautiful!

I am a warrior!

These are the affirmations I used daily as I struggled with invisible illness and healing my mind, body, and soul! After a 20 plus year battle with one invisible illness endometriosis as I struggled to heal from multiple surgeries. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia!

It was time! I took a deep dive into my inner goddess.

I saw her ability to create, and I saw her ability to destroy, but most importantly I saw her strength courage and never ending will to strive!

She is me!

I am her!

I am a goddess

As I continued to strive for solutions and worked hard on learning and unlearning who I am! You see ,life as a woman is tough! We are so hard on ourselves! If we could only know that we are EVERYTHING! We are Perfectly imperfect! We are goddesses!

Here is where it all started! You see, when I was a young woman, I had always wanted to do modeling. I wanted to see that kind of art and beauty in myself! I wanted to see what others seen! Long story short, I had set up an appointment to meet with a photographer at 16years old to pursue that dream. However, the day before I was severely burned and when I went for my appointment, they were interested but stated I needed to heal. Well as you can imagine I was crushed, and it led me to believe that maybe I was just not meant to have that experience. However, I still carried the idea but did not pursue it further. I had always told myself someday I would try again.

Fast forward LOTS of year lol! I am now turning 40 years old!

One day I woke up and realized I am not getting any younger and if I really wanted to ever pursue the dream it would be now. I then started to look at different photographers and started to really see myself doing this! I decided it was my 40 and fabulous present to myself!

Luckily, I met the wonderful Nazla! I knew instantly she would be the perfect fit!

I am so glad I chose her! Nazla made me feel so welcomed and comfortable! Most importantly she made me feel like that goddess I was looking for!

The morning of the shoot I was of course having a rough morning with my fibromyalgia. I was not feeling beautiful and not feeling sexy! Well, I had waited so long I was definitely going no matter what! So glad I did!

Nazla was so understanding and accommodated me as I worked through my pain! She did my hair and makeup so beautifully it made me feel amazing! Look at me! I looked so beautiful I couldn’t believe it!!

We had the most fun of my entire life! She had the most amazing studio with so many creative spaces to chose from and a wide variety of props and all the fun accessories! I was literally in heaven! Spending that day with Nazla was so huge for my self-esteem! It literally changed me! I was that beautiful goddess I had longed to be for so very long! It gave me my spark back!

I had found my inner goddess!!

So thankful and grateful for Nazla! May we all find our inner goddess!
